Free to Grow at Home

Kids' ability to participate in recreational activities continues to be negatively impacted by the ongoing pandemic, with lock-down cancellations, and minimal numbers allowed to register when activities are open. The Free to Grow Program is committed to helping kids learn, create, move, and have fun at home when there are little to no other choices available for them.

In 2020, our Free to Grow at Home initiative worked in partnership with local organizations and businesses to provide 935 At Home Recreational Kits designed to keep children's hands and feet moving, spark their imagination, and support their learning and development.

We are ready to go again in 2021, providing recreation kits for local kids in Guelph and Wellington County! The value of play for children, especially during times of stress and uncertainty, cannot be underestimated. Not only is an At Home kit designed to engage them physically, creatively, and intellectually, it also sends them a loud and clear message that the community cares about their emotional and mental well-being!
