Shine Bright 2X ChildThe Children’s Foundation helps children and youth have what they need to grow and learn, along with the chance to just be kids and experience all the wonderment and joy of childhood. So far this year, we’ve fed over 20,000 students, helped 878 kids be active through sports and camps, launched 22 post-secondary dreams, helped 24 youth receive mental health therapies, and are on track to make wishes come true for over 3,000 kids. All because of you and other caring folks in our community!Skyline Quote 2022

This holiday season, you have a chance to help us make 2X the impact and make a big difference in the lives of local kids. Our good friends at Skyline Group of Companies will be matching donations received by December 31, up to $25,000, and we’d love you to join them in building a stronger community together by investing in the well-being of local children and youth with your year-end donation!

With such sharply rising costs for the necessities of life, families who were struggling before are now teetering on the edge of hopelessness and despair. And more and more families are finding themselves in a new position of financial struggles, seeking support where in the past they might have been the ones to provide it.

The need is great but so too is this community of kind and caring folks. We have sustained faith and hope that we will come together to help children and youth Shine Bright into the future!

The need for mental health support and counseling
has increased by 146% in Guelph-Wellington.

With a $1,000 donation, you'll provide life-changing mental health therapies for a youth, giving them the tools and resources to navigate anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicide ideation.

FTG - Shine Bright

Only 35% of 5 to 17 year-olds are achieving the recommended activity levels; and 51% are engaging in more screen time than is recommended.

With a $750 donation, you'll help 5 kids step away from screens to play sports, learn to swim, engage in the arts, or go to camp, where they’ll learn valuable life skills, make friends, and have FUN!

AAF - Shine Bright

The holidays can be a time when a child living in poverty experiences inequity, leaving them feeling "less than”.

With a $500 donation, you'll make wishes come true for 5 children, giving them the gift of joy during the holidays, as well as a sense of belonging and connection in their family and in the community.

Tutoring - Shine Bright

One of the most important predictors of graduating from high school is reading proficiently by the end of 3rd grade.

With a $250 donation, you’ll provide 8 tutoring sessions to help elementary students catch-up, setting them on the path to post-secondary education and opening the door to a lifetime of possibilities.

FF - Shine Bright

1 in 5 children in Canada are at risk of going to school hungry, not ready to learn, every single day.

With a $100 donation, you'll help feed 40 children through our student nutrition programs so they can focus on learning in school in a safe and welcoming environment that encourages inclusivity and belonging.
