Staples is making a huge difference across Canada through their 2 Million & Change campaign. The campaign engaged its associates to vote for charities in their region to receive a portion of the $150,000 they were distributing across Canada. The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington was elated to find out that we were voted by our region as the charity of choice, receiving a $20,000 USD donation.
Glenna Banda (previous Executive Director) and Jack Watson accept $20,000 donation from
District Manager Jamie Catton, Rick Didone and the store associates.
Like Staples, we believe that all children deserve the chance to reach their full potential. An important part of getting there is supporting their education and job skill development. Our programs ensure that all children, regardless of their family or economic circumstances, have the same opportunities to develop the necessary skills to succeed.
The generous donation from the Staples Foundation will support three of our programs: our Food and Friends Program, which helps children receive the nutrition they need to learn at school; our Grants Program, which provides financial assistance for recreation opportunities that help children develop skills like teamwork and leadership; and our Scholarships Program, which provides funds for post-secondary education. The Staples Foundation donation will help many children learn, grow and succeed in reaching their dreams.
