Princess Elizabeth Public School is located in the centre of Orangeville with 590 students enrolled. This busy English and French immersion school offers two Food & Friends student nutrition programs to help with breakfast and lunch needs. Their breakfast program opened its doors in September 1998 and started offering a lunch program in September 2010. Teacher Valerie LaCapruccia is the program coordinator and with the help and dedication of fellow teachers and community volunteers, the breakfast and lunch programs curb the hunger of 85 students on a daily basis. This fall, the school will be offering a monthly yogurt bar!

Volunteers are needed for the upcoming school year at many Food & Friends programs. Just a couple of hours a week will bring healthy food to hungry minds, and change the lives of local children. If you or someone you know can help, please contact Brenda@childrensfoundation.org for more information and to get started. You'll be glad you did!
