Brad Clemes Memorial Golf Tournament
August 27, 2015

Brad Clemes
Since 2009, golfers gather at the Springfield Golf & Country Club to enjoy a day in the sun with family and friends at the annual Brad Clemes Memorial Golf Tournament. This day also provides an opportunity to remember the wonderful son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who tragically lost his life in 2009 on Flight 447. Brad's legacy lives on in his family and friends, and through the charitable work done in his name, including the Brad Clemes Memorial Scholarship, and their support of the Children's Foundation Free to Grow Program, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph.
In 2015, the Clemes family selected the Children's Foundation's Free to Play Program as one of the recipients of funds from the golf tournament and we couldn't be prouder to be associated with this event. As of 2022, the tournament has raised an astounding $66,750 for the Free to Grow Program alone, which has provided hundreds of local children the opportunity to be active, to participate in new life experiences, to learn valuable social skills, develop friendships, and engage in their community in a healthy and positive way!

The Children's Foundation was pleased to present a Visionary Donor plaque to Jill Clemes and Brent Lang in July 2022 to recognize the generous contributions from the Brad Clemes Memorial Golf Tournament.

"Brad loved golf, enjoyed it all around the world, and was never happier than when playing with his sons and brothers or friends. Therefore we thought a golf tournament would be the most appropriate manner to pay tribute to the person he was, and to raise money." ~ Clemes family
