Doug is a husband, and father to two beautiful girls first, and an entrepreneurial minded business professional second. He is a partner at Champion Mortgage headquartered out of Guelph where their team has been helping community members and families across Ontario make smarter mortgage and debt management decisions since 2001. He moved to Guelph to attend University, and after 6.5 years and two degrees he decided to officially call Guelph home where he met his wife and is raising his family. Doug was first introduced to the Children's Foundation when he witnessed the creation of the Trees for Tots program; ever since he has been a supporter of the Adopt-a-family, Trees for Tots, and Free-to-Grow programs. Doug believes that every child should have the opportunity to succeed, and that team sports, clubs and activities help today's youth be tomorrow's champions. |

Jennifer is Co-owner of First Choice Haircutters Franchise in Guelph (6 hair salons), HR Consultant and Career Coach for her company Career PUMP, and is a Certified Human Resources Leader with the Human Resources Professional Association. Her Instagram page @careerpump supports women in unearthing their passions and unlocking their potential while balancing motherhood. It also promotes female entrepreneurs and has a focus on Jennifer's own experiences navigating work and motherhood. Her career coaching strives to help women with decisions around career/life blend and finding work that speaks to their purpose. The HR Consulting portion is focused on small local businesses who need HR support. Her forte is coaching people and businesses on performance, professional development, recruitment/interviewing, leadership and career advancement/succession planning. Working in Human Resources at the Corporate level for companies such as Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants in Toronto, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and teaching at George Brown College has given her a diverse background that has taken her all around the world; presenting, guest speaking, recruiting and coaching. Now as a business owner of First Choice Haircutters, she must wear many hats and is still developing her own skills every day. Her passions include food, travel, leadership development, teaching, dance and yoga. She lives in Guelph Ontario with her husband Luke and their two children, Everett and Wesley and dog Stella. |

Stephanie is Co-owner of First Choice Haircutters Franchise in Guelph (6 hair salons) and a local Fitness Instructor here in Guelph. She is a University of Guelph grad and majored in Marketing, obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce. Stephanie worked in Toronto for a Software company, Intelex, in a Training/Implementation and Customer Service role before moving back to her hometown Guelph. In that position she had the opportunity to travel globally to work closely with her clients. She now oversees the Accounting and Finance area of First Choice Haircutters Guelph as well as other ownership responsibilities in partnership with her business partner and sister. As a fitness instructor she has taught classes for Movati Athletic, Grassroots Studio and run her own classes in local parks and at the Puslinch Community Center. She is passionate about travel, fitness, spending time with family and baking. Stephanie lives in Guelph Ontario with her husband Phil and their two children, Levi and Russel. |

Nancy was born and raised in Guelph, serving in the financial services industry since 1981. After 27 years working for a bank, mostly in leadership roles, she left in 2008 to pursue mortgage brokering. Nancy joined Dominion Lending Centres and never looked back. She is passionate about helping clients find the right financing to meet their needs and nurturing that relationship throughout not only their home ownership years but that of their children, friends and family. Nancy lives in Guelph with her husband, and has two grown daughters and two grandchildren. She enjoys volunteering and is proud to be able to give back to the community. Her goal is to meet as many people as she can in this life because everyone brings something special! |

Karen is an educator with the Upper Grand District School Board, and previously worked for twenty years in the field of children's mental health with CMHA. Since entering the teaching profession in 2004, Karen has taught children from JK to Grade 6, and has served as one of the mental health leads at her school. Karen has been a long-time supporter of the Children's Foundation and their mission, and has connected students to services offered by the foundation over the years. Seeing firsthand the powerful multi-level impact of these programs on children and their families led to a desire to become more involved with the organization. Tricia is a millennial on a mission. She is dedicated to excellence in everything she does and is a lifelong learner who is passionate about building relationships with people and the fast-growing world of technology and digital marketing. Outside of the office, Tricia sits on the Entrepreneurs' Organization Southwest Ontario Board as the Chapter Manager and Communications Chair, motivates on the spin bike at SPINCO, and is passionate about sharing and engaging female millennials to help them succeed in their mindset and business through Instagram. Tricia became involved with the Children's Foundation five years ago as a volunteer for the gala, then sat on the committee for four years before joining the Board of Directors and the Leadership Committee. As a Guelphite, Tricia is passionate about the local community and specifically in helping children and young adults have the opportunities to be successful in life. Chris was born and raised in Guelph, and after attending the University of British Columbia he returned home to put down roots. Chris started out his career at Ernst & Young before pivoting to Danby Products and finally ending up at Avison Young, working with local owners and users of commercial real estate across the City. In his free time, he enjoys getting outside and being active with his wife and two young children.
