What is Trees for Tots?
Trees for Tots was born out of a need five years ago when Christmas tree curbside pick-up was discontinued. Currently, City residents have three options to dispose of Christmas trees which have served their festive duty:
Bring your tree to the Waste Resource Innovation Centre at 110 Dunlop Drive, Gate 3. A $5 fee is required until December 31, 2016. Trees can be dropped off free of charge starting January 1, 2017.
Obtain a "Bulky Item Ticket" for $32 from the City and call the Waste Resource Innovation Centre to schedule a curbside pick-up;
For a minimum $10 donation to the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, register for Trees for Tots! On Saturday, January 7, happy volunteers will pick-up your tree which will be chipped and returned to nature through local naturalization projects including lining kilometers of beautiful hiking trails at Ignatius Jesuit Centre. Go for a walk in any season to visit your tree in its new home!
Why support Trees for Tots?
ALL FUNDS RAISED go directly into supporting the Children's Foundation programs to help build brighter futures for the children that need it most, right here in our community:
Help more kids feel the joy of the Holidays through Adopt-A-Family;
Help provide nourishing food for children who go to school hungry through Food & Friends;
Help build vital social skills and self-esteem by allowing kids to take part in sports and arts activites through Free to Play;
And help students who have overcome adversity continue their education through Scholarships.
2017 Partners and Sponsors - Thank you!!
Our event partners provide vital services to decrease costs so more money can go right where it's needed most - to the children.

Our endless thanks to the generous supporters below, for giving what they can to build a stronger community.
