July 1, 2010 United Way Seeing Is Believing Tour Visits Food and Friends
On June 17th, Brant Avenue Public School welcomed the United Way's Seeing is Believing Tour. The tour was set up to help fundraising volunteers see United Way dollars at work in our community. The tour participants were treated to a healthy breakfast and got a glimpse into how the Brant Avenue Public School's snack program works.
Brant Avenue Public School is one of 71 student nutrition programs supported by Food and Friends. The United Way contributed $45,000 to Food and Friends in 2010 to help ensure that students are getting the nutrition that they need to learn.
