The Children’s Foundation would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Promoli family on the recent passing of Patricia Promoli. The Promoli family were an important part of the establishment of what is today known the Children Foundation Grants and our Scholarship Programs. Patricia will be truly missed.
PATRICIA PROMOLI
October 18, 1920 – September 2, 2009
Patricia Promoli was the beloved wife of the late Frederic C.F. Promoli and loving mother of Frederic, Michael, Julian, and the late Stephen and the late Paul. A memorial service was held on September 12th, 2009 at St. George’s Anglican Church to celebrate Patricia’s life. The Promoli Family remain very much informed and involved with the Children’s Foundation through the establishment of the Stephen Promoli Memorial Fund (1976) and the Promoli Family Fund (2001). These funds were developed to provide financial support to disadvantaged children and youth in the community to participate in recreational and other activities that would reduce risk and enable these young people to develop more of their full potential. The Promoli scholarship provides assistance to youth in the care of Family & Children’s Services. Thousands of children and youth in Guelph and Wellington have been the recipients of funds administered by the Children’s Foundation through generous donations from the community at large. The Promoli memory will continue forever.
