What is Adopt-A-Family?
Within Guelph and Wellington County, there are many families, as well as teenagers living on their own, who are unable to afford the luxury of gifts and special treats during the holiday season. The Adopt-A-Family program partners families in need with community donors [individuals, families and businesses] at holiday time.
As a donor for the Adopt-A-Family program, you will have the opportunity to lift the spirits of families in need in Guelph and Wellington County. In 2008, donors provided gifts to 531 families and we anticipate the need will grow in 2009. More than ever, we will need your help in providing brighter holiday memories for these families.
The Adopt-A-Family team is pleased to provide new online resources to help our donors through the Adopt-A-Family process including past program statistics, thank-yous from last year's families, frequently asked questions and downloadable resources including checklists and information sheets.
