Oct.27, 2009 Swept Away to the Tropics a Success!

The 4th Annual Around the World with the Children's Foundation Gala took place on Friday, October 23rd at the Italian Canadian Club and was a complete success. The evening's theme was "Swept Away to the Tropics" and guests were able to escape the chilly October weather with tropical decor, delicious Caribbean food and the sounds of Traces Steel Drum Band. Joe Valeriote was the big winner of the evening - he took home an all-inclusive trip for two to the Sandals Ocho Rios in Jamaica by winning the Grand Prize Raffle.

However, the real winners of the evening were kids in Guelph and Wellington because when the event was over, over $34,000 was raised for the Children's Foundation. Thank you to everyone who attended and to our event's sponsors for another succuessful year!
