No one else supports kids in Guelph and Wellington County like the Children’s Foundation. In the last two years, we have provided over $1,000,000 in support directly to children and their families in our community.
In the past year, the Children's Foundation has:
• Been a community champion by coming forward to allow hundreds of additional children access to recreational activities
• Taken the lead on a working partnership with the City of Guelph, County of Wellington, United Way, Community Resource Centre, Guelph Community Foundation and other social service agencies as part of the Kids Activity Funding Task Group
• Increased the number of families assisted at holiday time through our Adopt-A-Family program by 25% to 531 families
• Launched the LIVE FREE Campaign to raise funds for student nutrition programs that support children who go to school too hungry to learn
Unfortunately, even with these great strides, the need in our community remains great and is growing.
Please consider joining the Children's Foundation and those individuals and groups in our community who are supporting children that are living in disadvantaged life situations. The Fore Our Kids Golf Tournament supports the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington’s Camp Program. Many children in our community do not have the opportunity to “be a kid” and meet new friends at summer camp.
