January 24, 2011 Dedicated Food & Friends Volunteer Retires
St. James Food for Thought Coordinator Vicki Gojanovich has decided to retire after 13 years of program support. We asked Father Kevin Bothwell from St. James to reflect on Vicki's years of service:

January 24, 2011 Guelph Storm Participating in Live Free for the 3rd Year

The Children's Foundation was saddened by the recent passing of Sandra Weafer. An ardent supporter of the Foundation, Sandra worked for many years on the Adopt-A-Family Program.

January 17, 2011 Upper Grand District School Board gives $10,000 to Food and Friends
The Upper Grand District School Board raised over $10,000 for Food and Friends through the Staff Association weekly Jean Day and collected donations from Program Services.
Staff Association member Cathy Page-Hill notes, "The collection has grown significantly! The Staff Association has decided the Food and Friends Program is the best place for the final contribution donated by board office employees.”

November 11, 2010 Skyline Helps the Children's Foundation Grants Program Reach New Heights
The timing of a recent $10,000 donation from Skyline to the Children’s Foundation Grants Program could not have been better. Their support helped provide 60 children in Guelph and Wellington with the opportunity to participate in the activities that every child deserves to be a part of, like soccer and skating.

Next Thursday, April 15th, marks the last chance to register as an Early Bird for the 15th Annual Fore Our Kids Golf Tournament.
If you register and pay by that date, you will be saving 10% of your registration fee. For foursomes the price will be only $540 and for individuals it is just $135. Also, don't forget you can register and attend just the evening portion of the event, which includes dinner and the chance to win some great prizes, for $45.

March 15, 2010 Live Free Day was a Success!
Live Free Day on Friday, March 5th was a complete success! It was difficult to go anywhere on Friday and not have at least one person in the room who was taking the Live Free challenge. Our community was buzzing!
