May 11, 2012 Good breakfast boosts grades and behaviour: study

Via CTV News:

"Eating a healthy breakfast every day may be directly linked to student achievement and overall behaviour, said a report released Friday by the Toronto District School Board... The study showed that students who ate the healthy daily breakfast had an improved ability to stay on task, better behaviour, higher rates of attendance and were less likely to be suspended. Some of the key findings from the study include:

The Adopt-A-Family program partners families in need with community donors [individuals, families and businesses] at holiday time. Within Guelph and Wellington County, there are many families, as well as teenagers living on their own, who are unable to afford the luxury of gifts and special treats during the holiday season.
